I believe that a calm and at ease nervous system is crucial for effective bodywork.  I have found that the best way to support that calming process is to listen to my well developed intuition which guides my hands in each session. This along with good communication, whether it is before the massage or a check-in during the session, allows me to provide an beneficial experience. I am skilled at discovering what techniques, pressure, etc… help each client achieve their desired result.

My happiest moments as a massage therapist are when clients are in a ‘twilight’ place. They are not awake yet not fully asleep with the breath soft and easy. It’s clear they’re deeply relaxed and I know that the benefits of the session will have lasting effects.

My primary techniques are: deep tissue, Swedish, Neuromuscular Technique, and Zero Balancing (ZB) which is an east-meets-west bodywork style that works with the bones to harmonize structure and energy in body.  http://www.zerobalancing.com/ I enjoy creating a soothing environment with attention to music and use of aromatherapy when requested.

My initial training was in 1996 at the Brian Utting School of Massage with a solid foundation in Anatomy & Physiology. I am certified with the VA Board of Nursing. If you would like to know more about me click the BIO page link.
